A free Tea Cozy Pattern

21 03 2009

I have just finished writing my very first pattern.  It is a tea cozy for Sheryl.  She asked me to design something to fit her Avanti six cup tea pot which is longer and less round than most conventional teapots.  The diminishing cables worked for this shape perfectly and the tweedy embellishments gave it a real country feel.  I think it suits her personailty really well, although she is yet to see it so I will have to wait and see what her reaction is.

Here is a photo of the finished object:

The embellishments could eaily be simplified to a satin ribbon or a straightforward 4 stitch i-cord.

It was a quick knit and would be great for an introduction to cables.

Here are links to the pattern.  Not for profit please.
